The composition is well-planned for the focus point (i.e. the face) is right at the centre, which is easily captured by the audience. And the imagery in the face guides the audience to the background. This creates a visual flow within the painting.

I like how the artist left much negative space in the drawing yet the audience can still imagine the posture of the muse. The strokes are free yet defined. It represents the title - muse very well.

The presentation of the artwork is fun that it requires a good setting (i.e. placement and lighting) to reveal the silhouette generated when light is hit on the pieces of paper. I appreciate the way the artist not only consider the art piece itself, but together with the surroundings.

I love how the art piece is fitted into the environment well through the posture, colours and values of the figure. It looks realistic though the drawing is done on a large scale.
